Class Experience

Happy Birthday, Gerald Ford. July 14th was this 38th U.S. President's birthday! (We are celebrating on July 12th because I will be out of town during his actual birthday.)

To celebrate, we will briefly explore the life of this president. Students will learn about Gerald Ford presidential story, as well as some interesting facts about his life. 

Class Expectations:
I love participation and I love activity. I'd love students to verbally participate, but it's not required. I do ask for...

Students will be able to identify facts about this president's life and term in office.

  1 file available upon enrollment
Students will be able to download and print off a worksheet about the president.

In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:Youtube

25 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.

We will be watching 2 youtube videos embedded into a powerpoint: a song that lists all 46 presidents and a 60 second clip about Gerald Ford's presidency by the channel, PBS Presidents.

*Political opinions and bias, as well as deep dives will NOT be a part of the class. We will learn age-appropriate facts about President Gerald Ford's term in office from whitehouse.gov, millercenter.org, history.com and Britannica.
