This is a flexible schedule course so students will not meet live. Students will learn how to use appropriate letter formation with writing uppercase letters. This helps improve their writing legibility and can improve writing speed as they get older. This class, in the flexible schedule form, allows students to self pace, take breaks as needed, and participate on their family's schedule.
I am trained as an Occupational Therapist and I have worked with children in clinic as well as in the school setting. Many times, I see children struggling with handwriting whether they have a disability or not. It can be because they are uninterested, they have hand weakness, or because they simply have not learned proper formation. This class focuses on teaching proper letter formation, which can help a child for a lifetime in developing legible writing and faster writing speed. While I am an Occupational Therapist, this class is not a therapy session. If your child has severe weakness or apparent development delays, it is best to speak with your pediatrician to determine the best options for them.
Homework Offered

You can be as interactive as you choose to be!Assessments Offered

I will provide a workbook prior to class for each video session. Please print this off if possible, because we will work through it together in the videos. Also students will need a pencil, extra paper, and play-dough. If you have a small dry erase board with expo markers, you can have that with you as well.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
