Class Experience

5 lessons//1 Week
 Week 1
Lesson 1
Pattern and fabric cutting
To properly prepare for class, learners must watch the two videos provided with the welcome message in the classroom. This will ensure learners come to class with the correct fabric and the correct amount of fabric. They will also have properly printed and assembled their pattern. In our first live session, we'll be focusing on cutting the pattern and the fabric.
Lesson 2
Finish cutting and beginning clipping/pinning
If additional cutting is necessary, we'll continue that work from week one before beginning our pinning and clipping of cut pattern pieces.
Lesson 3
Finish clipping and begin to sew
If additional pinning/clipping is necessary, we'll continue that work from week two before beginning the sewing process.
Lesson 4
Sewing
We'll continue the sewing our pajama pants.
Lesson 5
Project completion!
We'll finish any last steps in the sewing process to complete our pajama pants.
Fabric:
- Cotton or flannel fabrics are ideal for this project. Please pre-wash and dry your fabric prior to class.
- Details on how much fabric to purchase can be found in the two videos provided in the classroom AND the downloaded PDF pattern file
- 1.5” knit elastic (1 yard if you’re using the youth pattern and 2 yards if you’re using the adult pattern)

Notions and Gadgets:
- Pattern (print at home and assemble with tape)
- Sewing machine
- 100% polyester thread
- A spare sewing machine needle - They can break, so it is always good to have a spare on-hand.
- Straight pins or clips - https://a.co/d/55vsI4l or https://a.co/d/5nCbqrj
- Good quality scissors (Good quality isn’t code for expensive…. Quality, budget scissors exist!) https://a.co/d/2Q8h1Vd
- Iron and ironing board or pad - An ironing board is ideal if your learner wishes to progress with sewing and tackle more advanced projects. However, an ironing pad will work great for this project. https://a.co/d/hfV7b4m
- Measuring tape - https://a.co/d/bvwWkWT

The pattern is free, but you will need to create an account and “purchase” it for $0 using one of the links below.
