Teacher expertise and credentials
Bachelor's Degree in Education from University of Lethbridge
As a mother of three, I have always believed that the best way to learn science is by experiencing it firsthand. From the time my kids were little, our home became a mini science lab—erupting volcanoes in the kitchen, growing crystals on the windowsill, launching balloon rockets in the backyard, and mixing up endless batches of slime. Whether we were exploring the wonders of static electricity with balloons or testing the strength of spaghetti bridges, I loved watching my children light up with curiosity and excitement. These hands-on experiences not only deepened their understanding of scientific concepts but also sparked their love for discovery—an approach I now bring into my teaching to make science fun, engaging, and accessible for all learners.
With years of teaching experience, I have a strong background in making learning engaging, interactive, and accessible for students of all ages. Since the beginning of my career, I taught both math and science, developing a passion for hands-on, inquiry-based learning that sparks curiosity and deepens understanding. My experience in teaching STEM subjects has allowed me to break down complex scientific concepts into fun, hands-on activities that help students experiment, explore, and discover in an exciting way.
In addition to my formal teaching experience, I bring a practical, real-world approach to science education, ensuring that students not only understand the “how” behind scientific phenomena but also the “why.” My goal is to inspire young scientists, foster critical thinking, and create a space where kids feel excited to learn through experiments, creativity, and exploration.
