Hands-On Montessori Inspired Advanced Math Level B (for 1st/2nd Grades)
In this ongoing class, students use Montessori manipulatives to explore number sense to 9,999 and solve problems. Students use higher level thinking skills as they explore place value, skip counting, addition and subtraction, multiplication, geometry, and more.

Students delve deeply into number sense in a hands-on way using physical or printable Montessori manipulatives, creating a firm mathematical foundation from numbers 11 to 9,999. Students who understand math learn to love math, and I want my students to experience math in a hands-on way where they know they can try new things, make mistakes, and learn from them. I have been teaching Montessori-inspired math classes for 1.5 years. I am a certified elementary teacher with two education degrees and was a National Board certified teacher. I have taught in public school, a homeschool hybrid school, and currently homeschool my two children while also teaching on Outschool.
