Class experience

Students will learn how to use a protractor.
Students will learn that there are only seven types of triangles.
Students will learn how the interior angles of triangles relate to the measurement of a straight line. Students will learn how to find the perimeter of triangles.
Students will learn how to calculate the area of triangles.
Ms. Sarah has a master's degree in education and Montessori certification, plus over 20 years of elementary classroom experience. She enjoys helping students understand abstract concepts using math materials that make sense to them and seeing those ah-ha moments when students grasp a difficult concept for the first time.

A couple of short YouTube videos about the strength of triangles will be shown during the first session of this class. While YouTube is not intended for visit and use by children under 13 (and thus a non-COPPA compliant resource), Outschool has developed a way for educators to use YouTube videos in their classes in a legally compliant way. All educators need to do is add the YouTube link to their Classroom Post – Outschool embeds the link on its platform so that learners remain on the Outschool platform and don’t access the YouTube website.
