In this one time class, learners can bring their hamster to class, socialize with others and learn about hamsters. Don't have a hamster? You can still join us to learn fun facts in case you ever get one. This class can be taken multiple times. Meet new hamsters and friends everytime!

Does your child have a hamster that they would love to talk about? Are they thinking of getting a pet hamster and want to learn the ins and outs of owning one? As an elementary teacher for over 17 years, I will build upon your child's desire to learn about animals, as we come together and learn new facts about hamsters through each other. I will start the class off by introducing my hamster DJ and teaching learners some fun facts about hamsters. Each learner will then get a chance to use their social skills to introduce us to their own hamster or tell us why they wish they had one. We will talk about how we can be good pet owners. The learners will interact with each other, by being encouraged to think of questions to ask and also sharing tips and tricks they have learned along the way of owning a hamster. Learners can share how they take care of their hamster, fun stories and what they love most about their hamster. If students are shy, they may use the chat box to talk to us about their hamster and I will do my best to help them feel welcome in the conversation. Can't wait to see all your cute furry friends!
