What will be taught? Communication skills, including how to ask questions and respond with appropriate comments, and how to critique a theatrical performance. What topics will you cover? The writer of Hamilton and how art, reading, and history are all connected. How is your class structured? First 5 minutes will be introductions and class discussion expectations. Learners will understand how to dialogue and critique theatrical performances while also developing social skills of communication about a historical topic that interests them.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
40 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Parents should have allowed their learner to have heard music and watched Hamilton the play.
