Students will learn to draw fun Halloween themed pictures using basic shapes and familiar outlines such as houses, pumpkins and bats. There is no required drawing experience needed. I will guide the students with simple step-by-step instructions and help each student as they need. We will try to make two pages in each class. If there is time or interest, we will color our sheets in class. Students will be able to interact with me during the class to ask questions. Students can chat with each other during class as long as it does not disrupt other student's learning. At the end of class we will have a show and tell. Students are not expected to show their work nor be on camera if they are uncomfortable with that. First Class: We will start with simple drawing techniques to encourage each student. We will practice drawing with light pressure on the surface of the paper to make erasing easy and to make a cleaner picture. The students will be drawing over their pencil drawings with a fine point black pen. As mentioned above, we will be making one to two pages each class. Second Class: We will be adding more elements to make scenes like fencing, bats, ghosts, etc. Students will create two coloring pages. Third Class: We will increase the number of elements in our drawings with more challenging objects such as trees and tombstones, etc. Students will create two coloring pages. Fourth Class: Students will create their own pages using the figures that they learned in the tree previous classes. They will create one to two pages.
