Let's celebrate Halloween with hands on math games and crafts focusing on shapes and numbers. Students are welcome to come dressed in their favorite Halloween costumes! *We will begin the class by singing our class “Hello” song. Students will also have the opportunity to share their costumes. *We will review basic shapes through fun and interactive activities. *Students will create their own jack-o'-lantern using shapes. *Students will have the opportunity to share their pumpkins and talk...
*Math skills such as: numbers, colors, shapes, size, and same-different. *Social Skills such as: taking turns, listening, sharing, and communicating.
There is no required homework for this class. I will include optional supplementary materials to reinforce what we learned in class.
*Worksheets (provided by teacher after enrollment.) *Scissors *Glue *Crayons *"Bingo" type chips. (Suggestions: candy corn, M&Ms, scraps of paper, small erasers of toys.) Note: Younger learners may need parent assistance while cutting shapes.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
25 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Younger learners may need parent assistance while cutting shapes. Also, costumes are welcome, but must meet Outschool's standards as listed below. 1. Masks are welcome, however, masks should be removed for identification during the first four minutes of class to meet safety and privacy policies. 2. Please note that costumes will be vetted by the educator to ensure that they met Outschool standards.
