Hablas Ya? Immersion Classes in Spanish (Ages 6-8)

This course is specifically designed for elementary students who typically attend a Spanish/English Immersion School, students who are bilingual who are looking to continue learning/practicing the language, or students who are homeschool/charter school learners looking for semester-long practice. The class will combine instruction and conversation and FUN! 
Each class will be conducted in Spanish and will provide the opportunity for practice in reading, listening and speaking! We will read stories, do math problems, learn about space, etc. and keep the general sentiment of immersion alive while creating opportunities for speaking and listening each day! 

We will meet twice/week for 6 weeks: 
Class week 1: introductions & silly picture prompt 
Class week 2: reading 
Class week 3: math 
Class week 4: science
Class week 5: writing 
Class week 6: social studies/speaking 

Whether we are talking about animals or learning about Benjamin Franklin, students will hear and participate in Spanish! Students should be prepared to listen and interact in Spanish each week. (I will gently correct students pronunciation or provide a word if students need help! This is a great safe place to improve speaking and listening skills!)
