Beginner Level
This is a project-based class for learners who want to learn to perform for others on their gtuiar. Whether you have written your own song, learned a whole set, or want to provide a sing-a-long, Step 1: decide on you project options for performance Step 2: build promotional materials and how you will build awareness of your performance Step 3: practice your set delivery and program - what needs to happen when and what resources will you need Step 4: share your performance and reflection work Class activities are divided in the following manner: Planning to guitar performance 50 % to 50% 60 % to 40%

Repertoire selection
Today is project walk-through day where we will discuss the application of program management to performance arts, specifically on the guitar. Let's play through music you know and look at music you have a burning desire to learn.
With limited guidance, identify and demonstrate how personal interests and experiences influence musical selection for specific purposes.
Demonstrate and explain personal interest in, knowledge about, and purpose of varied musical selections.

Lesson 2:
Refining musical ideas
With guidance, apply personal, teacher, and peer feedback to refine performances. With guidance, use suggested strategies in rehearsal to improve the expressive qualities of music.

Prepare to perform
With limited guidance, convey expressive intent for a specific purpose by presenting a final version of personal musical ideas to peers or informal audience.

Lesson 4:
Ready, set, play!
It's performance day! Get your concert experience during this class session. Demonstrate performance decorum and audience etiquette appropriate for the context and venue.

Other Details
Parental Guidance
Performing a musical instrument will add to the sound levels of your environment. Be prepared for an increase in the sound levels and prepare the learner for a focused lesson as well as other members in the environment who are engaged in other activities that may require a lower sound experience.
