Whatever level of experience or skill a student is at, these lessons are personally tailored to meet them where they are in their musical development to increase their technical abilities and enjoyment of playing while expanding their understanding of music, with the added fun of learning with a friend! Lessons will focus on: Basics - how to tune properly, how the strings and frets work to make notes and chords Chords - what they are, how they're played, various ways to play each chord, and...
Access to a guitar will be required for the lesson. Handouts will be provided on an ongoing basis. An electronic guitar tuner or tuning app is recommended, though we will also cover manual tuning. Optional items include: • Guitar pick (playing with your fingers can also be a great approach) • Guitar strap (students may play standing or sitting, depending on preference)
