Class Experience

This is NOT a beginner class, Students really need to know these chords and be able to switch between them in order to get the most out of the class, to keep up, and not get frustrated. During these classes we will get more familiar with the strumming patterns and how to play songs. Your child does need to know how to play the three basic chords C, G, E minor and D, in order to take this course. We will be learning more complex songs and the strumming patterns to play these songs. Most importantly we will continue learning and challenging ourselves in our playing abilities.
Lesson 1 - Students will review the 4 chords they have learned through Boot Camp 1 and 2 - C, G, E minor and D. We will also practice switching between chords in order to become faster. Students will review the prior content and learn how to play Perfect by Ed Sheeran.
Lesson 2 - Students will review the prior content and learn how to play A Thousand Years by Christina Perri.
Lesson 3 - Students will review the prior content and learn how to play Sweet Home Alabama by Lynyrd Skynyrd.
Lesson 4 - Students will review the prior content and learn how to play Shallow by Lady GaGa and Bradley Cooper.

Please have your guitar's tuned so that helps with some time. With these type of classes, times are approximately 45 min. but class may run over or below based on how many students.
Learning Goals
Students will gain the song knowledge and be able to play many songs by the end of class by strumming and putting chords together to form songs.

Supply List
I will provide the information and chord finger positions and all they need is a guitar and the willingness to learn something new every day. There are many free apps that you can download to help tune your guitar. I use Guitar Tuner app and it would be great if you could tune your instrument before class.
