This is a course that will focus on helping the struggling writer to develop a cohesive 3-paragraph essay. The classes will enlighten students about all 4 major genres by discussing structure, development, and devices used in the texts.

US Grade 5 - 8
Young writers will accomplish several objectives in this course. First and foremost, they will learn how to brainstorm, organize and construct paragraph and essay responses when given a writing directive. The exemplars used in my lessons will be my own written responses to the same directives. These classes will attempt to tailor the lessons to meet the student's needs. Let's take a closer look at the many skills your child will learn. THIS IS A 21-DAY or 30-DAY COURSE....
Students will learn how to construct three-paragraph writing responses when given a specific task. They will be required to incorporate literary elements, devices, and techniques into their text to enhance the quality of their writing.
I have had more than 20 years of classroom and tutorial experience teaching Writing Skills to various age groups. I have extensive coursework and professional development training in the academic area of Writing. I have taught writing skills and strategies with English Language Arts Courses and with the READ 180 program which contains a writing component.
