Join an ongoing drop in class to promote your child’s connection, engagement and socio-emotional wellbeing. Students will be led through guided visualizations, and learn techniques to establish focus and relaxation within. We will create a calm point of focus within to integrate our experiences of our world. Each class leads students through a guided meditation. Come join us! This class was created for students in my popular Meditation: Connect and Engage class who needed a shorter format now that they are in school again. I lead students in a 12-14 minute meditation with simple visualization and meditation tools. * Check in * Guided visualization * Share If you‘d like the longer format with the drawing and conversation included with the meditation, check out the other class. We call Meditation a practice because each time we meditate, we learn something new-whether it’s a solution to challenging situation, seeing a better actionable step, or getting off the anxiety train, Meditation activates our body-mind in a whole new way. The stillness and answers we have in quiet time, can assist us in making simple and complex decisions. We then can access this still point, our inner peace, for our school work and interpersonal relations. This is why the children tell me they are learning meditation: to relax to learn new tools to feel quiet on the inside to reduce stress leveles to take a break to be more centered to get "it" out of their mind to feel good in me to sleep well Here are some mediation reflections from the children in my classes: I feel fresh! I feel relaxed and calm. I'm able to get away from things that were challenging. I was calm. I didn't have to listen to anyone else but myself. I didn't have to worry about anything.. going back to school or if I was going to have to go to my first year of middle school online. I'm able to take a break and not stress out, sometimes I really stress out. My body and soul felt free. I let go of my worries. I could focus on one thing at a time! These are some of their visualizations. I saw: ...myself floating an a peaceful cloud. ...the emotions that filled my safe space were tennis balls and my dog caught the ones full of sadness. ...well, I felt the wind on my face and sun felt so warm and peaceful. ...it cooperated with me! ...I fell asleep. The kids are right! It works. Here are a some of the many physiological and emotional benefits to Meditation: Alleviates stress Boosts self esteem Calms the body Clears distraction Decreases anxiety Develops resilience Encourages adaptability Establishes a self care routine Focuses attention Fosters a sense of connection within Integrates emotions Nurtures restful sleep Promotes positive decision making Supports relaxation

Teacher expertise and credentials
I’ve taught meditation for 28 years. When I was in my early 20s I took my first class; the anxiety that I had held onto for years slowly slipped away. Meditation is a game changer and deeply shifts your relationship with yourself over time. It’s a joy to teach so many children on this platform exclamation
I look forward to meeting your family.
