In this three day class, the student will practice reading skills one-on-one with the teacher. The student will receive explicit phonics instruction whenever needed. Comprehension skills will also be addressed.

This is a ongoing reading instruction class, with an instructional approach where the teacher will support the needs of a student using a variety of strategies and readers including but not limited to leveled and phonetic readers. The teacher will also use other phonetic and other resources depending on the needs of the learner. I am a National Board Certified Teacher with many years of experience teaching young learners how to begin well rounded readers. I have been teaching phonics and reading combined for over 23 years. While teaching these focus areas, I have participated in many researched based training which have given me a great foundation to effectively instruct students from day to day and help them become great readers.
