The course will be interactive and engaging. Participants will have the opportunity to reflect, practice, and build their skills while fostering a growth mindset and positive habits. Learners will have ample opportunities to interact with the instructor and fellow participants through discussions and various activities. Interactive elements such as video clips, and practical exercises will be utilized to enhance the learning experience. No prior experience or specific knowledge is required to join this course. It is designed for pre-teens/teenagers ages 12-15 who are eager to develop essential life skills, cultivate self-awareness, and unlock their full potential. Whether for personal growth or academic success, this course aims to empower teens to become self-directed, responsible, and well-rounded individuals ready to thrive in all aspects of life. Throughout the course, participants will delve into the following topics: Habit 1: Be Proactive Taking responsibility for one's actions and choices, developing a proactive mindset, and focusing on what can be controlled. Habit 2: Begin with the End in Mind Setting clear goals, envisioning desired outcomes, and creating a personal mission statement to guide actions and decisions. Habit 3: Put First Things First Prioritizing tasks, managing time effectively, and learning to balance responsibilities, commitments, and personal well-being. Habit 4: Think Win-Win Cultivating an abundance mindset, seeking mutually beneficial solutions, and practicing empathy and collaboration in relationships and teamwork. Habit 5: Seek First to Understand, Then to Be Understood Developing active listening skills, showing genuine interest in others, and enhancing communication and conflict resolution abilities. Habit 6: Synergize Valuing teamwork, appreciating diverse perspectives, and leveraging collective strengths to achieve shared goals. Habit 7: Sharpen the Saw Prioritizing self-care and personal growth, nurturing physical, mental, and emotional well-being through continuous learning and development. Classes are discussion-based. To support the flow of conversation, I will provide weekly discussion questions ahead of time so that students can feel prepared.
