Class Experience

What is a “Growth Mindset” and why is it important? How can having a “Growth Mindset” help us in all areas of life no matter what age?

In this one-time class, we will be discussing, brainstorming, and learning about what it means to have a GROWTH MINDSET! We will complete a graphic organizer (print and have ready for class) as well as learn a short song to help us remember how to have a growth mindset!

We will also start a “Grow Your Mindset” poster to hang up and keep!

Each student’s project will be unique to them! Students can choose the color of paper and types of coloring utensils to use for this project! Free-hand drawing on this project is encouraged as any “mistakes” we make can be turned into MASTERPIECES!

How do you cope with challenge or difficulty?

Growth Mindset:
An understanding that abilities can be developed.
Engaging deeply, wanting to learn more, processing error and learning from it to correct it.
“I love a challenge!”

Fixed Mindset:
Running from error or quitting.
“I failed.”'
"I can't do this."

We will have time to work on our "Grow Your Mindset" poster. Please be aware, students may need a little bit more time to finish!

Greetings!

I am a lover of learning in all aspects of life. I am very much looking forward to bringing that to you and your children!

One of my favorite and one of the most important aspects of teaching is: BUILDING RELATIONSHIPS! You will find that communication is one of my top priorities as a teacher; especially as an online teacher. I strive to communicate to aid in your child’s learning experience!

I have a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education with a minor in Early Childhood Education. In addition, I hold a Master's degree in Professional Development in Education.

I taught elementary school until starting my own family. While teaching elementary school, I taught all of the subjects and I LOVED them all! In addition to loving all of the school subjects, I also have many hobbies and passions that I am excited to be able to share with the Outschool family!

Thank you for showing interest in my profile and my classes! Many blessings to you and your families.

See a class you like but the time or day doesn’t work? Message me or request times or days for any of my classes!

I hope to see your students soon!
