In this 30 minute piano lesson your student will get a chance to learn the foundations of piano. Your learner will walk away with the ability to play a C major scale as well as the beginning techniques of music reading. We will learn an age appropriate, level appropriate song (Ode To Joy) which will be sent to be printed before the class begins. This is a fun, creative atmosphere to learn basic piano skills. If your learner is more advanced, please see my Private Piano lessons class. This class will allow a more tailored approach to your learners level and abilities. I will both verbally explain and demonstrate the piano techniques on my own keyboard. Students will be muted unless they would like to share their progress! I am an energetic and friendly young teacher that loves to share music. This class will be positive reinforcement based with a focus on the excitement of learning a brand new skill. A printable music PDF will be sent in advance of the class. We will work together as a group writing in the names of the notes and finger numbers on the printed sheet. This is a beginning piano class. No experience is necessary. Learners will need at least a one octave (8 key) keyboard.
Learning Goals
Students will walk away will the ability to play a C major scale, Identify the notes on the keyboard and play a short song (Ode To Joy) which will vary with each lesson. This is intended to give students a chance to "try out" piano before committing to private lessons.
