Groovy Kids Club: Private Abcs & 123s ESL Class

In this one-time class, learners will practice action-based learning.  We'll learn body parts, numbers, animals, objects,  letters, action words, and directions.  This class is especially for ESL learners.  

My teaching style is to use short activities in rotation in order to keep the children engaged.  I try my best to read the energy level and responses of the students in order to decide if a particular activity is suitable for them at the moment. 

In each class, we will start by singing the alphabet together with a slide show of the letters.  While we sing the alphabet we'll also be doing a warmup exercise.

For repeat students, we will feature a new letter each week.  Each letter will have a selection of songs, photos, and physical activities.  For example, F is for frog.  We'll sing "F is for frog, ribbit ribbit. F is for frog ribbit ribbit." while hopping around like a frog.

I use virtual backgrounds and slide shows to inspire the use of imagination and association.  

We finish the class with another round of singing the alphabet together.  

There's no previous experience needed for this class.
