When a student takes this class they can expect a fun and interactive journey through the story of how Hercules faced off against the Stymphalian Birds. Class will first begin with a short meet-and-greet. Once acquainted, we will delve into a dramatic telling of some of Hercules' exploits. Images and some video will be shared to help bring the story to life and as the storyteller, my goal will be to use my theatrical and voice-artist background to make the tale memorable. Students will learn about Hercules, Eurystheus, Copreus, Ares, Athena, Hera, Zeus, and Hephaestus. Students will be encouraged to speak, ask questions, and be questioned themselves with a focus on comprehension skills and critical thinking.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
