Greek Mythology: Nymphs, Naiads, and Dryads
In this class, students will learn about nymphs, naiads, and dryads of Greek Mythology, and how they contributed to Greek Mythology outside of the stories of the Greek Gods and Olympians. Students will also complete a drawing activity.

Class Experience
The myths of Ancient Greece are some of the most famous in the world, being used as inspiration for countless movies, TV shows, books, and many other creative arts. However, the nymphs, naiads, and dryads of Greek Mythology are often resigned to background roles in the myths of the Greek Gods. Students will learn about the myths behind different nymphs, naiads, and dryads of Greek Mythology. Students will also learn the reasons behind these myths.
I have an IDS BA in Modern Languages and Literature, Communication, and Digital Media. I have taken college courses on the Classics for my major, and am familiar with Greek mythology.
Students are asked to bring a blank piece of paper to draw on, and coloring supplies.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
50 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Greek Myths often involve violent action/war scenarios, death, infidelity, and crimes/revenge.These will only be touched on as a part of the myth plots, and questions will be handled in an age-appropriate manner. If questions extend beyond the scope of the class, learners can follow up with guardians.
