Class Experience

US Grade 8
For this course, students can bring their eighth grade math assignments from school for assistance with understanding concepts. I can re-teach and demonstrate concepts, as well as guide students through the given problems. If time allows, I can also provide some extra practice problems for students to complete with guidance. We can also use this format to prepare and study for upcoming tests. This course is individualized so that students feel comfortable asking questions and we can go at the pace of the student.

Please schedule your sessions carefully, as missed classes will not be rescheduled or refunded.

Profile
Teacher expertise and credentials
Hello! I have been teaching and working in the public school setting for the past nineteen years, and tutoring privately for the past ten years. I have worked with students ranging from kindergarten to eighth grade in math, reading, writing mechanics, American History, and beginning Spanish. I especially enjoy working with students in small groups or individually, and developed skills as an online educator when schools had to close for the pandemic. I have continued to work online with learners today, and truly enjoy it. When I'm not teaching, I enjoy watching television and movies, and traveling with my family.
