Advanced Level
This course is a well-rounded, advanced Algebra I high school level linear graphing class your learner can use to experience essential graphing expressions, formulas, and vocabulary. The visuals are presented on Canva slides, illustrating each concept. This comprehensive graphing class is for Algebra I students to supplement curriculum and for prep in Algebra II. Notes and activities will be annotated throughout the course. Canva slides will illustrate examples for the coordinate plane work and definitions as your learner maneuvers note taking and activities to submit for checking by Mrs. Gail.

WEEK 1: Coordinate Plane Basics; Slope Formula definition and formula use; Graphing
WEEK 2: X and Y intercepts; Point Slope Form; Slope Intercept Form; Standard Form; Graphing
WEEK 3: Graph; Standard Form; Horizontal/Vertical Lines; Equations of Lines; Intercepts and Equations
WEEK 4: Parallel and Perpendicular lines; Linear Equation Domain and Range Relationships; Graphing

Your learner will gain confidence in graphing equations from expressions, learn the essential formulas often used in class, and understand the vocabulary surrounding expressions.
Learning Goals
In this easy to understand presentation, learners will learn how to graph linear expressions. Learners will use point slope form, slope intercept form, and standard form equations. Learners will understand how to utilize linear expressions and plot those expressions visually on the coordinate plane. We will explore domain and range with parallel and perpendicular lines.

Missouri Teaching Certificate in Elementary Education
I have had students in the public and private school setting K-12 for over 25 years. I was an elementary public school teacher for 1st and 3rd grades for several years. I then taught 4th and 5th grades in private school for over a decade. I homeschooled my own children for several years through a local hybrid school. Currently, my time is spent in the private school setting teaching mathematics to middle and high school students, 7-12. I hold a current Master of Arts in Education degree from a large university in the state of Missouri.
