 We will learn about rhyme patterns, read clerihew poems, and  write clerihew poems together.

Descriptive Paragraph Writing- My Favorite Day
 We will learn about adjectives and sensory details.  Then, we will use these skills to write descriptive paragraphs about our favorite day.

Lesson 3:
Compare and Contrast- Reading Comprehension
 We will learn what it means to compare and contrast.  Then, we will learn how to use Venn diagrams to compare and contrast different elements in our reading.  Finally, we will turn our Venn diagrams into a paragraph.

Lesson 4:
Character Creation and Creative Writing
 We will each create our own unique, original character.  Then, we will create a story outline and use our new characters in a short story.
