Grade 1 Music Theory: Suitable Preparation for Abrsm Exams
In this course, students will learn all the required theory to take a grade 1 music theory exam, learning how to answer the type of questions that would appear on an exam.

1 hour per week. Practice resources are available on the ABRSM website, and either an online or downloadable past paper can be completed on the ABRSM website listed in the materials section at the end of the course.Class Experience
Beginner Level
In this set of lessons, students will learn everything they need to be able to take a grade 1 ABRSM exam, or deepen their knowledge of music theory. Within the sessions we will look at a past paper and learn how to answer all the questions, and learn the theory knowledge that accompanies them. Each week will be roughly split as follows: Rhythm section Pitch section Keys and scales Intervals Tonic Triads Terms and signs Music in context Recap and past paper Lessons are set to run for 45 mins, but may run to max 1 hour, this is due to how much ground may or may not be covered each lesson, allowing less pressure within lessons to learn all the content at once, and allow some time for questions to be answered. This class will run on Friday at 3pm GMT (please feel free to contact me with a time/day that would suit you, and I will create classes at a more convenient time) A flex class will also be available soon. At the end of the course, a second past paper can be accessed via the ABRSM website for students to complete in their own time, either as we go along, or once all material has been covered. All questions are welcome, and I will do my best to offer as much help and support as possible along the way! I look forward to meeting you all in our first lesson! :)

The resources include the ABRSM. This will be used to access past papers and practice tools all suitable for the ages of 9-12
