During this class we will paint a colorful jellyfish and blend several colors to create a beautiful water backdrop. While following step-by step easy instructions, students will also learn a few facts about the ocean.

Class Experience

Let's create a fun summer picture of colorful jellyfish.  Perfect for the beginner painter! Teacher will paint along and show every step! I use two cameras, with one always focused on my hands/project.
We will start with creating a beautiful sea background. Little artist will be encouraged to make their own color choices. After creating the background, we will create jellyfish, tentacles and bubbles.
While we paint, we will talk about nature, animals and other fun subjects.
As true artists, we will sign our names at the bottom of the painting.
At the end of the class, little artists will have an opportunity to show their work to others.
Fact facts: Jellyfish are mostly water. Some of them have very long tentacles, but they never get tangled or sting themselves.  

Colors we will definitely need: black, white, blue, purple, green, orange. Having more colors on hand is great! 

**Depending on the number of students and their skill level, this class might end a few minutes early or run 5-20 minutes extra.**

Supply List

-Cup with water and paper towel or a piece of cloth for cleaning brushes
- canvas, canvas board or mixed media paper of any size. However, keep in mind the ability of your artist. Younger children might have a difficult time covering a large surface.
-Acrylic paints: Colors we will definitely need: black, white, blue, purple, green, orange. Having more colors is great! 
-A palette - any dish we could use for mixing colors
-Various brushes: Large, medium and small detail brush
