With this 4-week 1:1 class, your learner will explore strategies and tools to increase and boost her confidence and her self-esteem. In this class, I will use creative methods like drawing, journalling, and inspiring conversations to empower girls and support them explore their unique strengths, qualities and talents. Please reach out if you'd like to take this class, but the available times do not work for you. I am very open and flexible to adjustments within my schedule! This course is open to all learners. Here are the learning objectives that will be covered: Day 1: ☆ Understanding what self-confidence is and why it is important ☆ Exploring inner strengths and qualities ☆ Putting strengths into practise Day 2: ☆ Exploring things that you love ☆ Exploring values and things that make you happy ☆ Put your values in practise Day 3: ☆How to be kind to yourself and others ☆ How to challenge negative thoughts ☆ Creating positive affirmations Day 4: ☆ Focusing on achievements ☆ Practising gratitude ☆ Achieving your goals This class will be experienced in a creative way, and your learner will be asked to make drawing or make brief journal entries about the topics of each lesson. This will enable girls to express their ideas and thoughts in a creative way and to also keep a visual record of their self-esteem and confidence learning so that they keep reviewing after the end of this course.

Other Details
Parental Guidance
The aim of this class is to offer educational and learning activities to help students explore strategies they can use to build their confidence. This class is not a therapeutic session.
There is no intention of the class to elicit reports on personal experiences with mental health from learners. If a learner shares any personal mental health details (despite not being prompted to do so) , I will ask that the learner refrain from further discussion in the class and instead continue the conversation with a trusted adult.
If a learner shares something that is concerning, I may need to reach out to parents after class depending on the context.
Supply List
Students will need to have access to papers or a journal, and pens, colour pencils, markers or anything that they usually use to draw.
External Resources
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Teacher expertise and credentials
As a mental health practitioner with academic studies in Child Psychology and therapeutic interventions, and currently supporting the wellbeing of students in schools, I have excessive experience and academic background/knowledge to help students explore and manage their emotions and improve their wellbeing.
