Looking for a class holiday party for your student? In this Multi-Day class students will have a "sweet time" reading gingerbread stories, singing gingerbread songs, and making gingerbread houses!

Description

Class Experience

Students will compare and contrast books, talk about setting, use imagination to design a gingerbread house, socialize with peers, and enjoy the merriment of the winter season.
After the first class students will use the list of supplies they come up with to shop for their gingerbread houses.
paper plate small school size milk carton white icing plastic spoon or spreader 1 box of graham crackers candies of choice (use the list we made during class) optional: The Gingerbread Baby by Jan Brett and Gingerbread Friends by Jan Brett
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
55 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
There is no cooking in this food project (gingerbread houses are constructed using store bought graham crackers).  There is no use of dangerous equipment in this food project, icing will be applied using a spoon or spreader.  There are possible food allergens such as nuts, wheat, dairy, eggs, or soy depending on the items you buy to construct your gingerbread house.  Please consider this when purchasing candy/graham cracker/icing items.
