Class Experience

In this one time class we will make a jar gift set for our favorite horse(s) or horse lover. This gift is perfect for any horse lover who likes to bake. We will put all the dry ingredients in the jar, write down the recipe for the person receiving the gift and finalize the gift by tying on the cookie cutter and recipe. We will make one gift jar during class, but students will easily be able to make more after class by themselves. I will post the instructions to the classroom after class for them so they can remember what to do. While making the gift jar we will talk about our horse(s) and what we love most about them. After making the jar gift we will make a horse head keychain. This class is a way to learn how to make fun gifts and also have a chance to socialize about horses. If you don't have a horse and are making it for a horse lover in your life, that is completely fine also! You can still tell us about your favorite animal or pet you have.

Teacher expertise and credentials
Hello. I teach a lot of classes about animals and I also teach some reading classes. All of my animal classes are taught about animals that I own.
I love to educate people about animals, animal abuse and neglect. Almost all of my animals come to me as rescues. I like to teach others how to properly care for animals so that the animals can live a long and happy life. Research isn't always reliable as you get different answers in different books and it can be hard to figure out what's best. I am always open to questions. If you are interested in getting a certain pet, just want to learn about different pets or have a pet and want to verify the care is correct, I welcome everyone. I have also trained service dogs and I currently own a trained service dog.
I have taught local classes about the needs of turtles and tortoises, and also community education Sign language classes.
I am a homeschool parent. I have been homeschooling for over 15 years. In our homeschool adventure we use a lot of books and research for learning. We do not use textbooks.
I also have 3 years of college completed. I studied teaching with an emphasis on special education.
