This two day course will introduce complete beginners to iMovie so they can move on confidently to more complex work.
Class experience
-A strong introduction to iMovie editing software for students who are interested in editing but have never used iMovie before. -iMovie (for Mac) is a full service editing software that comes standard on Mac desktop computers, iPhones, and iPads. It’s a free video editing software many people don’t know they already own. -Video editing is a great skill to have. You can create almost any kind of movie using iMovie. Music videos, educational films, school reports, and short documentaries...
Our goals for this course are to familiarize beginning editors with the technical components of the iMovie software so they can move on to larger, more complex editing projects with confidence.
Updated version of iMovie installed on your Mac desktop or mobile device You will also need sufficient space on your computer or mobile device to hold the video files we'll use. iMovie also requires a few gigs of free space to function well on any device.
External resources in this course are in the form of a "project packet." These packets include still images, videos, and audio files needed for the editing project of the day. These packets are delivered via a link to my google drive where they can be safely scanned and downloaded for the day's instruction. Parents can review contents of the packet before download if they so choose.
