Students will gain confidence for the new school year by brushing up and reviewing several concepts that were taught in 5th grade. Some of the topics that we will cover will include: Dissecting Word Problems Fractions/Decimals/Percents Order of Operation Area and Perimeter of Triangles, Rectangles and Squares Proportions Classifying Triangles I realize that math can be a struggle for some students. Math is my passion-my very favorite subject to teach. But, this was not always the case. I struggled in math until I had a teacher that took the time to help me build a solid math foundation. Once I had this solid foundation, I began to see math in a new light and discovered that I truly love it. I want to help my students light this passion for math in their school career. This class is designed to be a fun and interactive class with lots of class participation. The more the student is engaged, the more they are learning. I try to keep the students unmuted so they can easily ask questions or answer problems, but sometimes I do need to mute the class so we can call focus.
