An ongoing class where students will develop skills to help with their time management, organizational skills and study skills while learning how to implement those skills. .
Class experience
This ongoing class will serve as a place to learn, create and implement skills to help middle school students succeed. Initially there will be content covered each week to establish new skills and the opportunity to implement and practice between classes. The lesson portion of class will be 15 to 20 minutes long. After the initial content of organization and time management has been presented by the teacher, students will continue to create their own plan for success using those skills. ...
Students will be able to use their time effectively Students will be able to manage their time. Students will create and implement time management strategies that meet their needs and lifestyle. Students will create and implement organization strategies. Students will be able to smoothly transition from one task to another by implementing the skills taught in class. Students will be able to take notes and create their own study tools.

To implement the time management and organizational skills covered in class to their every life. Some journaling.1 - 2 hours per week outside of class

Color coordinating is one strategy that helps students get organized. To have 1 color for all resources used for each content area of school (folder, spiral, book cover, etc). This is not required, but is often helpful and will be a strategy that is taught. Students should have a paper agenda or planner, a writing instrument, and paper for drafting their plan for success each class. A place to keep their belongings for school, extra curriculars, hobbies, etc. will help with organization skills.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
