Description
Class Experience
- Children will work on learnIng letter names and sounds. - Children will work on identifying numbers from 1-50. - Children will work on learnIng some kindergarten high frequency words (sight words). - Children will work on learning to count by 5’s and 10’s to 50. - Children will try to estimate how many objects are in a guessing jar. - Children will complete some art work, such as water color painting and drawing a self portrait. - Children will work on identifying words that rhyme.
There is no homework assigned for this class. I only ask that parents read to their child each day. I will contact parents through Outschool about any information throughout the four weeks of the class.
1. Crayons 2. Paper 3. Water color paints/ brush 4. Small container for water 5. Glue 6. Scissors (Please make sure that your child is supervised while using scissors during class.)
There will not be a formal assessment or letter grade given in this class. However, the engagement and interest of the students will be observed during class.
1 hour per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
There is no content that is more appropriate for more mature students or that parents may be sensitive to.
