Want to practice your math skills or maybe get ahead of the game for next school year? This 4 week class will cover the most important topics from 5th grade math to prepare you for next year's math skills! As a 5th and 6th grade math teacher, I have developed strategies for learners to keep refining their math skills. Students will engage in mini lessons, small group discussions, math challenges, and review games throughout our class to make math FUN! This class is recommended for students who have basic knowledge about place value, addition and subtraction of multi-digit numbers, multiplication and division of single digit numbers, what a fraction is, and area and perimeter of shapes. Hi, I am Mrs. Andie! I am currently a 6th grade math teacher and have spent the past 5 years teaching reading, writing, math, and social studies to 5th and 6th graders. I graduated from the University of Florida with a Bachelor's in Elementary Education and a Master's in Special Education. My students will learn using hands-on, interactive techniques that engage a topic in a variety of methods. My philosophy as a teacher is that laughter should always accompany learning so be prepared for fun!
