What's included

5 live meetings
3 hrs 45 mins in-class hours
Homework
4+ hours per week. Learners will be encouraged to finish making their crochet projects after every class meeting. As some projects take longer than others, there is no expectation that they will complete the project before the next class meeting. The first five minutes of the next class will be for those learners who want to share their completed projects or work in progress. Each crochet project in this camp typically takes between 1-5 hours to complete.
Assessment
I will be watching the learners throughout the class. I will offer assistance, positive encouragement, and helpful feedback as they work on their crochet projects.

Class Experience

US Grade 4 - 7
Beginner Level
Does your learner want to learn to crochet and express their creativity in a new way this summer? Join me for this fun and engaging five-day summer camp where learners ages 8-12 will learn the basic crochet stitches. Learners will be introduced to the chain, slip stitch, single crochet, and double crochet stitches. Each day learners will have time to practice their stitches and build their confidence while we work through a series of different crochet projects. We will make a scarf, dishcloth, hair scrunchie, and a bag.

I have been crocheting for the past 32 years! My mother taught me how to crochet when I was 8 years old, and I've never stopped. Crocheting is a wonderful way to release stress and anxiety, while being creative at the same time.
