Sets & Integers
 Week 1
Lesson 1
Sets
My lesson is about defining and identifying what sets are in math. Then using that information and examples to explain, identify, list infinite, finite, disjointed, null, and equivalent sets.
Lesson 2
Adding Integers
My lesson is about defining what integers are and identifying the positive and negative signs. The students will calculate math problems with integers by adding and applying the rules of having a positive or negative sign.
Lesson 3
Subtracting Integers
My lesson is about subtracting integers with either both numbers having a negative sign or one integer possessing a negative sign.
 Week 2
Lesson 4
Multiplying Integers
My lesson is about finding the product of two integers with different signs and multiplying more than two integers with different signs.
Lesson 5
Dividing Integers
My lesson is about finding the quotient of two integers with different signs.
Lesson 6
Review Integer Operations
My lesson is about reviewing all concepts in Lessons 1 through 5. The students will demonstrate their comprehension of the topics that were taught in the lessons.
Unit 2Positive & Negative Fractions & Decimals

Positive & Negative Fractions & Decimals
 Week 3
Lesson 7
Positive and Negative Fractions
My lesson is about applying the rules of integers to positive and negative fractions.
Lesson 8
Positive and Negative Decimals
My lesson is about applying the rules of integers to positive and negative decimals.
Unit 3Exponents & Square Roots

Exponents & Square Roots
 Week 3
Lesson 9
Exponents
My lesson is about defining and identifying parts, and calculating number with exponents. Also, the lesson will include how to rewrite numbers as exponents.
 Week 4
Lesson 10
Square Root
My lesson is about the student identifying the square root sign and solving math problems involving the square root sign.
Lesson 11
Problem Solving with Exponents and Square Roots
My lesson is using concepts taught in Lessons 9 and 10 on how to solve numerical problems that contain exponents and square roots.
Lesson 12
Review Exponents and Square Roots
My lesson is about reviewing all concepts taught in Lessons 9 through 11. The students will demonstrate their comprehension of the topics that were taught in the lessons.
Unit 4Order of Operations & Properties of Numbers
3 lessons1 Week
Order of Operations & Properties of Numbers
 Week 5
Lesson 13
Order of Operations
My lesson is about following the correct order of operations when simplifying an expression. Students will learn to evaluate, eliminate, and calculate in order from left to right.
Lesson 14
Properties of Numbers: Name That Property
My lesson is about students naming the mathematical properties of a set of numbers.
Lesson 15
Properties of Numbers: Problems Solving
My lesson is about students using the mathematical properties to complete statements with correct answers.
Unit 5Scientific Notation & Review
3 lessons1 Week
Scientific Notation & Review
 Week 6
Lesson 16
Scientific Notation
My lesson is about the student defining scientific notation, and converting numbers to scientific notations.
Lesson 17
Scientific Notation: Conversions
My lesson is about converting numbers from scientific notations to numbers.
Lesson 18
Review and Q&A
My lesson is about reviewing Lessons 1 through 17, to gauge the student's comprehension of the concepts covered in the lessons. A 20 questions assessment will also be presented.
Students will learn the math concepts that will be utilized in Pre-Algebra. With practice and review in each class, students will not only master those skills, but also maintain and reinforce those skills consistently. Skills learned in this class apply to all areas of the curriculum.
Homework Offered
Homework, for extra practice, can be requested by the student or the parent. If homework is necessary, it will be checked for correctness.
