Hello, Bonjour, Guten Tag!

My name is Nadine and I teach French and German classes.

I am a certified teacher with a Master’s Degree in Education, English and French. Born and raised in Germany, I immigrated to Canada in 2018. Learning new languages and traveling have always been my passion. When I was only 9 years old, I flew to Paris in France all by myself to stay with a French family for two weeks! That is when I learned my first French words: pomme (apple), soleil (sun), and many more! Now I am a mother of two children who speak three languages fluently. My children taught me that learning languages through immersion is really the most effective and fun method.

Furthermore, I am certified to teach elementary as well as secondary levels in Germany and in Nova Scotia, Canada. For more than 17 years I have been teaching English, French, and German - in German and Canadian schools in-class and, most recently, also online. 

You will quickly notice how much I love my job: I smile a lot! As a teacher, I am always ensuring a friendly, supporting learning atmosphere. I love to communicate and building a relationship of trust with my students. In Canada, I taught Kindergarten, grades 5 and 6 as a Homeroom Teacher in a French-speaking school. In Germany, I taught mainly English students preparing for University (Abitur) in the Secondary, Advanced levels. My students came from more than 40 nations! In France I enjoyed teaching German to High School students. 

In March 2020 we discovered that we enjoy homeschooling as a family and continued to homeschool in French and German even after the end of school closures.
