Hallo und Guten Tag! This class is for learners who have some prior knowledge of German. This could mean that they have completed my German for Beginners High School Camp (Introduction), that they have participated in my German for Highschool Ongoing class, or any other German beginner's class or Duolingo experience, for example. Learners will learn how to talk about preferences, how to make suggestions and how to react in German.
I am a certified teacher and Native Speaker of German with over 15 years of teaching experience in Germany, France, UK, and Canada.
Homework Offered
Learners will be expected to revise vocabulary and grammar with the help of PDFs, Nearpod quizzes, and youtube videos provided by me.1 - 2 hours per week outside of class
Assessments Offered
Learners will receive a certificate after having completed the full week.Grades Offered
Learners may need parental help to access the Outschool classroom, the youtube videos, or to download the materials. Learners will create their own travel planner and they will create their own postcard. This can be done with pen and paper and uploaded as a photo. You may also use a computer program such as Word, Google Document, or Canva to make a PDF to upload. This is up to the family's preferences. Parents should be aware that we will be using youtube videos as asynchronous work (outside the live sessions) to watch. Instructions will be given in the classroom. We might also use Nearpod and Kahoot! for quizzes, but the learners do not need to sign in to do the quiz.
