Students will learn basic conversation skills and grammar in German. This class is best for Novice learners of German (in reference to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages), and aims to achieve an A1 level (Beginner): Learners will engage in simple two-way communication on everyday subjects, describe daily experience familiar to them, read and write simple sentences, and they need to be supported in most of their interactions with visuals, key vocabulary, guided languages with teacher’s assistance.
This certified High School teacher is a Native Speaker of the German language with no accent. She is also fluent in English and French.
Homework Offered
Learners will practice German vocab from the course (approximately 10 minutes/day). Learners will revise grammar, practice short dialogues, and write short sentences (approximately 10-15 minutes/day).1 - 2 hours per week outside of class
Assessments Offered
Learners will receive a certificate after having completed the full week.Grades Offered
The teacher will provide PDFs and Google documents as well as Nearpod and Kahoot links. Keep some paper and a pencil nearby for listening activities.
