This Math course covers the fundamental Geometry and Trigonometry skills and concepts essential for early high school learners. Learners will develop these skills in a systematic and interactive way, through the model-guide-practice process. Lessons will also include the use of the online graphing calculator GeoGebra, as required. Learners are encouraged to participate in the lesson, make connections with the previous skills, ask questions for clarification and identify possible / most common errors and correct them. By the end of each lesson, learners will complete a set of exercises with full solutions edited in accordance with the correct standards of Math communication. These examples can be then used for reference when completing further independent practice / homework or when reviewing / studying for a test. Course Weekly Outline: 1. GeoGebra at geogebra.org
GeoGebra is an educational tool used for graphing functions on a coordinate grid and for constructions and measurement in Geometry.
It is recommended that students create an account, however, this is not required.
Teacher frequently shares the GeoGebra screen; Students can practice graphing calculator or Geometry construction without having an account; an account is needed to save work online and retrieve it later.
Supply List
pen and paper / notebook; scientific calculator if needed;
