This course is designed to focus on the properties and application of common geometric figures in two and three dimensions. It includes definitions, transformations, rotations, reflections, and translations, congruence, angles, parallel and perpendicular lines, geometric constructions, as well as triangle proofs. I am offering this series of classes because I have taught this subject before many times. I get very excited to see students that want to find out new things as well as use what they have already learned in math. I believe that all students can learn math if given different approaches. Everyone does not learn the same way so I offer a variety of methods. Please see for yourself.
Curriculum materials will be provided by the instructor. Students will need a printer to print notes and assignments. A basic calculator is needed (TI-30x) or a graphing calculator (TI-84). Also students can use a calculator app like Graphing Calc 2. Recommend pencil / paper for taking notes during meetings as well as a small whiteboard with dry erase markers along with eraser. Also needed a compass, protractor, ruler, 3 ring binder with at least 4 dividers for organization.
