In this one time class, students will use household items (a toothpick) to create a chic geometric design.

Students will learn a technique for a smooth base coat- the beginning to any good nail design! Then using a toothpick, they will learn to create a geometric design. Because of all the variables involved in an art class like this, the class may take anywhere betwen 35-40 minutes. Students are encouraged to enjoy the process and learning the technique while being creative and having fun! There will be a link to a printable practice worksheet that students may print to practice on during class or after class to practice designs.

Students will learn a technique for a smooth base coat of polish and then how to create a geometric design. They will be encouraged to be creative, make the design their own, enjoy the process, and have fun!

Parental Guidance
Because of the possible messy nature of nail polish, it is recommended that an adult is somewhat near and available during class. Also, please be aware of any allergies to any of the nail polish ingredients before using the polish.
Supply List
Supplies for Class: * 3 colors of nail polish (accent color (I used purple), two contrasting colors (I used white and black). * toothpick * tin foil * a baby wipe or Qtip for cleanup around the nail (optional, but helpful) * anything wanted to protect the work surface student will be painting their nails on
