We will explore a beautiful location once a week and locate it on a virtual globe. We will learn the location, the landforms/landmarks, the climate, foods, celebrations, animals, government, inventions, currency, language and what the flag looks like. There will be several photograph slides that show what the beautiful place looks like and students can decide if they think the place is beautiful and why/why not. There will be a time for discussion on the photos we see and what they observe in the photos. We will view short video clips shared of famous landmarks, animals, or especially pretty locations of the places we view each week. 1. Week 1: Argentina, location on the globe, landforms, climate, celebrations, foods, flag, landmarks 2. Week 2: Honduras, location on the globe, landforms, climate, celebrations, foods, flag, landmarks 3. Week 3: India, location on the globe, landforms, climate, celebrations, foods, flag, landmarks 4. Week 4: Philippines, location on the globe, landforms, climate, celebrations, foods, flag, landmarks Following weeks: Argentina Honduras India Philippines Denmark Ukraine Oman Iran Comoros Papua New Guinea Ecuador Malaysia Namibia Czech Republic Belgium Madagascar Bulgaria Egypt Barbados Antigua and Barbuda Finland Saudi Arabia Poland Singapore Belize Angola Qatar Saint Lucia Sudan Pakistan *Your learner may join at any week/location as this class will continue with new locations as long as there are learners. There is not any cumulative information that would be missed.

Hello Outschool families! My name is Mrs. Christi and I have my Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education K-6 as well as middle school social studies from the University of Arkansas for 29 years. I have taught in both public and private school settings as well as online for the past four years. I have been teaching for Outschool since 2020.
I am also a mother to five adult children, so I definitely love, adore, and understand children. I look forward to getting to know you and your child(ren) in my fun and engaging classroom I enjoy learning about new places around the world, so look for me to offer geography classes and animals around the world.
