Beginner - Intermediate Level
In this gentle 5-day camp, learners will be invited to share some of their favorite personal treasures with friends! This will be a learner-centered class: public speaking before a very small group of friends active listening to one another asking questions One learner will be selected to show their item and then tell about it. The other learners will listen and have a chance to ask questions. I will also participate, modeling how to share about our favorite things and how to ask questions. I will also have a list of statements and questions that learners may refer to during or after presentations. For example: How long have you had your stuffy? Why do you like this book? I got this ______ when I went to ______. The learners will need a basic proficiency in spoken English. Day 1: Favorite Stuffed Animal or toy Day 2: Special Book Day 3: Drawing or artwork Day 4: Small item from a trip Day 5: Small item from a hobby
