Chemistry is one of the most challenging science courses for high school students. This 1-1 tutoring session is available to students on an as needed basis, and is great for students who may need more support with the concepts and calculations. This tutoring is for students in general chemistry courses, not in AP or IB chemistry. Students should come to each session prepared with the questions they would like to cover. The goal of each session is for students to become more comfortable with the chemistry topics that they are learning about, and to feel confident when returning to their regular chemistry classes.
I have taught general chemistry for high school students for several years as a full-time teacher. I also tutored general chemistry for three years prior to becoming a teacher.
Any video clips will cover only the chemistry content that your student is learning about. These video clips will be screen-shared by me, but links can be provided to the clips upon student request. I often use clips from Khan Academy, Ted-Ed, the Amoeba Sisters, Crash Course, and Bozeman Science, which are all free and available on YouTube.
