US Grade 9 - 12
This is an ongoing revision course to get prepared for GCSE/iGCSE (Grade 1-5). This is a revision course and students can join and leave any time. In this course, every week different topic tested in GCSE/IGCSE exams at FOUNDATION level (Grade 1-5) will be covered. We will meet for two 45 minutes sessions every week. I will explain the topic and demonstrate the skills following some guided practice and assign a homework for my students. Please see the timetable below for weekly topics. (Week starting date) Wk 1/ calculations, Factors, Multiples, Primes, Wk 2/ Standard Form, indices, rounding & Bounds Wk 3/ Basic Algebra, Inequalities & Brackets Wk 4 / Sequence 2 weeks Summer break (7 Aug- 14 Aug) Wk 5/ Coordinates and Real Life Graphs Wk 6/ Collecting data, Sampling & Probability Wk 7/ Linear and non-Linear Graphs Wk 8/ Fractions and Percentages Wk 9/ Ratio and Proportion Wk 10/ Multiplicative Reasoning Wk 11/ Direct and Inverse Proportion Wk 12/ Angles and Polygons Wk 13/ Pythagoras and Trigonometry Wk 14/ Perimeter, Area and Circles Wk 15/ Transformations Wk 16/ Similarity and Congruence Wk 17/ Averages and Scatter Graphs Wk 18/ Cumulative frequency, Box Plots & Histograms Wk 19/ Revision Wk 20/ Revision There will be a new cycle after every 20 weeks. You can book my other 1-1 session as a trial or request me to create a brief introductory session for you. I will also create a similar course for higher level GCSE shortly.
Learning Goals

Dear Parents! My name is Iqra and I am UK qualified maths teacher. I have been teaching maths to various age groups from primary to adult learners for last ten years as a tutor and five years as a qualified teacher. I have always enjoyed learning maths as a student and acquired degree in Statistics from my home country. I have volunteered in different educational settings and ultimately completed my teacher training from IoE, UCL. I am highly self motivated individual, life long learner and a passionate teacher.
I have experience of teaching in different educational settings involving both children and adults, however I have more experience in teaching GCSE maths. In my career, I had been tutoring for many years however post PGCE, I have worked as a lecturer in some highly reputable colleges in London. I have also worked as a supply teacher in various schools in London as well as delivered short numeracy courses under local council.
