US Grade Pre-Kindergarten - Kindergarten
In this multi day camp we will develop inquiry skills as we grow plants and become natural scientists in a fun creative environment. Each day we will meet to socialize, exercise our minds and bodies, craft and learn about natural science! We will practice using our fine motor skills in an organic way by caring for our plants and develop a sense of empathy by caring for another living thing. We will also engage in a craft, science based activity or fine art activity each day with friends all over the world. If you are looking for a camp that will engage your child's creative nature and practice inquiry skills in a fun way, you have found the perfect camp for your child. Note: You will receive a multi page handout from the teacher on the first day of class that contains an overview of daily projects for the week we will meet, along with our garden song and garden journal.
Learning Goals
Students will have an opportunity to gain social skills, develop a sense of inquiry, enjoy hands on art activities and grow in a supportive environment.

Bachelor's Degree in Fine/Studio Arts from Madonna University
Hi. My name is Heather. The best students ask lots of questions and explore their ideas openly. My job is to inspire the questions and give students the tools they need to find their own answers. I earned my BFA from Madonna University in Michigan and my MEd. from Antioch New England in New Hampshire. I am a Nature Based Educator and Art Education Consultant with 25 years of experience working with children. Whether leading a hiking group, sketching, searching for mermaid tears, or giving a demonstration at Strawbery Banke Museum I infuse my days with imagination and curiosity. I am also the Head Youth Librarian at the Newmarket Public Library in New Hampshire!
My heart is in everything I do. Creativity is at the core of all of the classes I teach. Nature Journaling, Gardening, Nature Architects, Myth, Magic and Folklore, The Art of Letter Writing (via Owl post of course!), Morning Circle for Littles, Fine Art classes focusing on famous and not so famous artists, Forest Fairy Club, Wizard's Potions and Magic Wands, and Spelling Bees are just a few of the classes I offer. Ages range from 3 to 18.
