In this multi day camp we will develop inquiry skills as we grow plants and become natural scientists in a fun creative environment. Each day we will meet to socialize, exercise our minds and bodies, craft and learn about natural science! We will practice using our fine motor skills in an organic way by caring for our plants and develop a sense of empathy by caring for another living thing. Students will have an opportunity to gain social skills, develop a sense of inquiry, enjoy hands on art activities and grow in a supportive environment.
You will receive a multi page handout from the teacher on the first day of class that contains an overview of daily projects for the week we will meet, along with our garden song and garden journal. Wheat grass seed, red runner bean seeds, potting soil, clear container to view growth of bean, ruler, spray bottle of water Scissors (May require parental supervision for scissor use) Crayons or colored pencils Watercolor paper, water color paints, paint brush Play dough Construction paper Glue stick
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
