Beginner - Intermediate Level
No coding skills? No problem! Dive into game development with an intuitive visual editor right in your browser. Design, animate, and program your games effortlessly. Bring your game ideas to life and share them globally, seamlessly. Over this 5 weeks course, we will meet twice a week for a total of 10 classes. Each classes is designed to take small steps to create your very first game. Each class builds on the last and be completed within the class time or it can be added onto outside of class time.
Learning Goals
Students will learn terminology that is associated with game design that helps them develop or expand their logic for game design.
Students will design coding mechanics that will grow their logic and decision making for how a game is developed.

over 5 WeeksLesson 1:
Lesson 1-2: Introduction(s), Let's Begin!
Today we will learn about our class, platform, inspirations and goals. This is the most important class as it shapes the rest of the course. What drives you to create games? What do you find inspiring?
Goals for this class:
L1:
1) Introductions (details mentioned above)
2) Create an account on the platform (Free to start)
L2:
1) Name your game
2) Create your first game level
3) Design the starting aspects
4) Test our progress so far.

Lesson 2:
Lesson 3: Building our World!
Today our goal will be to add objects to our world that make the game start to come to life. The beauty of this platform is that you can create your own blocks/characters, or use pre-created assets.
Goals for this class:
1) Organization - The importance in coding
2) Adding our first block(s) - Typically this will create the ground floor that your character will interact with and use to move.
3) Create/Add the character that you will use to play your game.
4) Test our progress so far.

Lesson 3:
Lesson 4: Behaviors and How they work
Today our goal will be to learn and understand behaviors. We will assign movement to our character. From there we can explore other possibilities.
Goals for this class:
1) Review our progress so far (warm up)
2) Introduce behaviors to our character (movement, etc.)
- This will be our first look into the coding UI.
3) Behavior connections and relationships (inputs, outputs, key bindings, etc.)
4) 4) Test our progress so far.

Lesson 4:
Lesson 5: Animations and How they work
Goals for this class:
1) Review our progress so far (warm up)
2) Introduce Animations to our character (walking movement visual, etc.)
- We will continue learning the coding UI.
